Potty Training

Potty Training

A variety of factors can affect potty training. Generally speaking pediatricians suggest that a child be at least 18 months old before starting toilet training. When potty training children with autism there are several factors you should consider. Keep in mind communication delays, sensory challenges, sensitivity to stimulation, limited ability to imitate, compromised motor planning, and preference for routine.
