This is a wonderful toy, and it works as described, with some caveats. I ordered five and have opened two of them so far. Both have arrived with the red ring needing to be glued back on. The blower will work without making that fix, as the ring can be pushed onto its peg (and the blower actually works without the ring if you begin blowing and then place the ball in the stream of air) but the ring does not stay in place very well without a dab of glue, and you can see that it was originally glued before breaking apart. When I was a child, there was a plastic version of this toy available that actually worked much better. Somehow, it released a more powerful jet of air so that it could hold ping pong balls aloft just as high as this blower does with styrofoam. This blower can barely get a ping pong ball to wobble a half-inch off the ring. The old plastic ball blower held together better and functioned better. This one works, but it would be nice if it weren't the only option.
