The Therapressure brush is the sensory brush designed by Patricia Wilbarger. This oval shaped brush is easier to use than regular sensory brushes in that it comes with an attached handle and has a more ergonomic design that makes it fit comfortable in your hand.
According to Patricia Wilbarger, "the high density of the bristles make it an ideal brush for the body." For specific instructions on brushing therapy its best to speak with an occupational therapist or therapist trained in the Wilbarger Protocol.
The Therapressure brush is the preferred brush for the Wilbarger protocol and is available in white only.

We had a less sturdy brush that our dog chewed up. This one has a better handle to grip and my 11 year old son loves it. It is so soothing and with teh Wilbarger protocol - he feels much better.
Speedy delivery, amazing product. I have sensory defensive disorder, and these brushes are a big step towards mastering my own self calming. I don't use the Wilbarger protocol, just use the brushes where it feels good and they help a great bit.
These brushes have truly saved my 8 year-old son. He has tourettes and when he's feeling overwhelmed we find a dimly lit and quiet space and use this to massage him. His therapist liked to say that we are brushing his bones. Thank you!
My eyes have been open to the importance of this brush to so many people. My Aunt in England called me and asked to send some Wilbarger brushes to her neice in India. I sent these brushes there and will be used by people who would never have the chance of ever getting them. When they arrived there was great excitement, and I know they will be put to great use. Thanks again for creating a great product that will make a difference in so many peoples lives with Autism.
The Wilbarger Therapressure Brushing protocol was recommended for my daughter, who has severe anxiety, by her occupational therapist. We received a cheap version of this brush from the OT specialist, and when I saw this souped-up version here I bought several of them. This more-expensive brush is worth the extra money! It's easier to handle and covers far more skin in one stroke. It is holding up better than the cheaper ones, too. I highly recommend this product.
I ordered both the traditional and the new Wilbarger brush for side to side comparison. The new brush is larger, fits better in brushers hand, and is more comfortable. Business side is the same - which is a good thing. I recommend them - worth the price.
It was recommended by our Occupational Therapist to start the Brushing Program with our daughter. The only problem was that it took her forever to get us a brush to try, and then when she did it was such poor quality. These are awesome and hold up very well. My daughter loves them!
I purchased this product after attending a class on Sensory Processing Disorders and am very pleased. Not being able to afford OT for our daughter we have to learn these things on our own and this product was highly promoted to help her.
Amazing brush. I never would have believed how something this simple could calm our Aspergers child--until the occupational therapist demonstrated and I saw firsthand. He even went to bed--without any prodding--and right to sleep 3 hours earlier than his regular bedtime.
