The Beckman Tri-Chew: Great for Oral Exploration

The TRI CHEW is another great chewy designed by Debra Beckman, MS, CCC-SLP. The Tri-Chew is made of a medical grade, highly durable, FDA approved material that is also latex FREE.
Each of the TRI CHEW ends has ridges, bumps and swirls designed to mimic various textures of food a person may feel while chewing. Children will experience a nice amount of jaw movement and pressure with each of the Tri-Chew ends. The Tri-Chew also provides great sensory input to the lips, gums, and tongue. The triangular shape of the Tri-Chew makes it easy to hold. Not recommended for aggressive chewing.
CAUTION: The Tri-Chew should be used with adult supervision at all times and Tri-Chews shouldn't be shared. Clean your Tri-Chew with mild soap and water.

I purchased the regular and the ET-chew for my granddaughter born at 23 weeks gestation and is now 8 months old. She hasn't cut any teeth yet, but I'm sure these chews feel great on her gums. She loves these chews, and will reach for one of them before any other toy. Easy to hang on to with tiny little fingers.

I bought three of these for my 4-year old daughter who has Down Syndrome, and has a very big sensory need right now to chew on things. It actually helps her focus better in her Preschool class to chew on things. I was disappointed with these Tri-Chews because she chewed through them, biting off the little nubs on the end in no time at all. I will buy them again because they are a good product and are perfect for her needs, but in the future I will go with the XT model, which is stronger and more durable.
