My daughter is very high-functioning and nearly 8. I really thought we would have already hit the chewing issues; bbut alas, at 7 she started gnawing through all of her shirts. She wears this to school every day and usually it stays under her clothes. When she needs it she pulls it out and chews. Cute!

My son is 5 and chewed his clothing excessively mostly at school when really trying to focus, we decided to try this out and he loves it. I will admit his teacher & I love it also, mo more constantly telling him to "Stop Chewing your cloths" especially knowing he couldn't help it and the more you tell him to stop the more he felt the need to do it. We are so glad we pruchased this product and would definetely recommend to others. The only downfall is the my son also chews on the string and has broken the clasp, so maybe a sturdier clasp would be better other thatn that "Love It". Might purchase 1 more so he has a choice is color. It looks like a regular neclace so no one even realizes what its for and it brings no extra attention to it. Once again I am very pleased.
