my duaghter chewed through the provided string very easily, came home from school with it tied in knots where she had fixed it and then it got lost before we replaced the string because it was broken. Theh other down side was that either someone in the family told her or she read the packaging and so didnt see it as a cool piece of jewellery, but as an \"aid\" and so it wasnt something she really liked after that.

It is a good sized pendant that my daughter can keep fastened around her neck and chew on as needed. It is a reasonably thick material so it doesn't seem that it will have peices easilt break off of it.

My daugher had chunks chewed off of it in less than a day, the chewlery braclets last longer.
