almost too big, February 2, 2013

The problem with this necklace was that it holds a ton of saliva, so my son was essentially drooling all the time while chewing it. I think the smaller one is slightly better from that perspective but also, he wound up just playing with both of them by stretching them out, etc. I might try just a piece of plastic on a string.

My son loves it!, November 15, 2012

My 3 1/2 year old used to chew all his toys, buttons, zippers and just about everything else. The day we gave him the chewlery necklace he stopped. He keeps it in a special place and gets it every time he feels the need to chew on something. It's durable and easy to clean. The company even sent his favorite color upon request. I chose this product based on other reviews and hope my comments help another mom or caregiver.

  Great product, May 17, 2012

My son loves to chew on these. I love them because they don't fall on the floor and get dirty like regular chew toys. The only think I don't like about it is that it is much bigger than the regular ones. I like the the thickness of the product so it can't be chewed through as easily, but it is too much for my son to "chew" on. If the circles were tighter together it would have been perfect.

  Son's favorite toy, January 7, 2012
Posted By: Amy

These have been our severely autistic son's favorite toy for 2-3 years now. He doesn't wear it as a necklace, but holds it in his hand. When he first got them, we looped it in his belt so he would not lose it, but that's not necessary now. We have several, so we can keep running them through the dishwasher. He does chew on them but he has never bitten one through, which attests to their durability. Eventually, after many months, they do get very twisted up. Because our son likes them long, we just cut them in one spot when this happens, which untwists them. Our son finds it calming to shake them and to tap items, such as pictures in board books, while holding them. If we permitted it, he would hold them every waking minute, but we don't allow it at meals and during lessons, in particular. I can't say how other children will react to this toy but it is #1 for our son and very, very well made.

We received this product on time without any delays, but it was not the right thing that we were asked to buy for our kid!
