Mega Chewelry Necklace - For those with an extra strong bite!

These have been our severely autistic son's favorite toy for 2-3 years now. He doesn't wear it as a necklace, but holds it in his hand. When he first got them, we looped it in his belt so he would not lose it, but that's not necessary now. We have several, so we can keep running them through the dishwasher. He does chew on them but he has never bitten one through, which attests to their durability. Eventually, after many months, they do get very twisted up. Because our son likes them long, we just cut them in one spot when this happens, which untwists them. Our son finds it calming to shake them and to tap items, such as pictures in board books, while holding them. If we permitted it, he would hold them every waking minute, but we don't allow it at meals and during lessons, in particular. I can't say how other children will react to this toy but it is #1 for our son and very, very well made.

The necklace is great for my son to chew on versus his hand. Took some prompting at first to get him to keep it on. Now he goes looking for it when he's feeling anxious or upset and needs something to bite on.

Very helpful for keeping the mouth occupied instead of chewing on shirt, collar, or fingers. Stretches easily and very far which keeps child from choking, should it get caught on anything. Easy to wash and disinfect weekly. Can't go wrong with this one.

I purchased the Mega Chewlery necklace, put my own clip on it, and it's been great. It attaches to my grandson's shirt either neckline or front shirt buttonhole and keeps him from biting his clothing when excited. He's nearly 4 yrs old, and will transition away from this excellent product at some time. But right now, it's a 'shirt-saver!' Service was prompt and I received my order before the advertised expected time.

My grandson wears his necklace to school every day, if not the bracelet. He sometimes wears it under his shirt, but he pulls it out to chew on while he's writing. It seems to be a great stress reliever, and helps to save pencils or erasers from being destroyed. It also helps him keep his hands to himself when he needs to sit quietly in class and listen.

This was simply the single best $20 I ever spent! My son was causing massive disfiguring calluses on his fingers from chewing. We tried several less than perfect things. We had the idea but not the right materials. I bought him one and the calluses are gone. I bought another one worried that this one would wear out, and it hasn't. My son is 12 so it's no little bit of chewing we are talking about here. This has lasted a year of constant use. perfect solution for those who have oral stim needs. It doesn't damage his teeth, it's always right there when he needs it, and I'm impressed with the durability.

This product is excellent for younger and older kids who need the oral stimulation and tend to mouth or put inedibles in their mouths. They're well-made and easy to wash.

These are excellent for children who stim by mouthing objects. I clip it to my daughter's shirt and she has a chewy available when she needs it. I have three that I interchange. In almost a year, none of them have been chewed through. That is durability.
